Top tips : Use WhatsApp and the CM App, don't expect anyone to speak English
At GIG airport, look for someone with the Club Med sign. The taxi ride on Saturday morning during Carnaval took nearly 4 hours! At the Check-in, ROBERTA was very kind, but unfortunately my room was not ready. She sent me a message via WhatsApp when the room was ready. I was prepared with my bathing suit and shorts, etc in my carry-on, so I changed in the bathroom [note to CM : other villages have a dedicated changing room for early arrival/late departure]. I had already used the Easy Arrival link to set up my account, so Roberta gave me my bracelet/room key, luggage tags and a towel card. The towel card is needed for the Main Pool, but not for the Zen pool/Piscina calma. My room became available at 4:47 pm. My luggage was already awaiting me at my door when I got there. They have updated the bedsides to include USB-A and USB-C outlets. I had read that Rio das Pedras had undergone renovations in 2024, but that was not the case for my room which was identical to the one I stayed in in 2018. It would seem that the renovation was for Junior Suites only. Worth looking into. I chose a room near the Zen Pool and the area is indeed quiet. You hear the waves breaking on the beach, birds chirping…. This pool is open 10 am to 5 pm. It is a walk from there to the Reception/Main Restaurant.
Main Restaurant : typical of other Club Meds, which is to say an excellent variety of food (although I had trouble locating cooked vegetables). I enjoyed omelets prepared by SIMONE. Jangada : this much quieter restaurant is located across the bridge near the Fitness center. You can only make a reservation for their regular menu once during your stay, and this requires going to the restaurant between 12 noon and 1 pm to get on the list. The restaurant was far from full. The menu is composed of shared starters, then a choice of steak, salmon, duck or octopus main course, followed by desert. They would appear to have only one printed menu in English; also, VICTOR speaks English. You can also have lunch daily (no reservation needed) at Jangada between 1 and 3. Italian Buffet (I didn’t try it).
Spa: Again via WhatsApp following my request to Reception, I booked several massages at the Spa (located near the Fitness, but also on the beach near the kayaks). SANDY at the spa reception speaks English. 3 massages performed to perfection by ANA MARIA.
I toured the 5 Trident “Reserve” with GABI (delightful)

We had such a great experience with my family! The week was awesome! Everybody at the hotel treated us super well and made us feel like at home. We played tennis every day, and we practised a lot during Luciano and Mafei’s lessons. Thank you so much!!!

The hotel was really baby friendly! The receptionist Nicole was amazing, helped us with the whole itinerary and even helped us get medicine outside!

Even though I traveled here solo and it is a family village, I still really enjoyed my stay and the village itself. Great food and service with an amazing setting. Luna from the reception was very helpful and happens to be a very talented singer who happens to speak 6 languages. 😁🥂🇧🇷
