Valmorel France

We thoroughly recommend this resort for a family with a wide range of ability. It’s the easiest way to keep everyone happy. The food is amazing and the service excellent.

We visited the first week in feb. 2026. The resort was full of young kids, which surprised us, as it was out of all school holidays. (Some of the kids caused hygiene issues with little paws all over snacks and buffet.)
Food choices were very good but rarely hot and sometimes very cold, (in the middle, as it hadn’t been reheated properly).
Rooms were excellent. Bar staff were excellent. Restaurant staff were very slow and clearly there was a shortage of wine glasses, as it was a struggle to get enough each night. The rooms were very good and clean.
Ski in/out was great and the ski area is perfect for a full-on week.
The details on the Club Med app don’t match reality. The pre-check in for ski school is a waste of time when you need to repeat on arrival. You can’t book a table in the alternative restaurant in the app. The ski service shop won’t service your skis on a Sunday, despite what the app says. Club Med needs to sort this out and have details match.
Car park was ideal and very easy. For some of us who flew, the transfer details for the return trip was all but zero and had to be searched out.
This review sounds a bit like a bunch of first world problems and petty. It is a reflection of our stay though.
However, there was a lot to like and, overall it was a great trip. The staff were very friendly.
This was my 10th Club Med stay, over 8 different resorts. I would go back to Club Med Valmorel.

Valmorel is a really great Club Med: a beautiful pool, an amazing spa, a safe and large resort, with the village just next to it. Honestly, you have everything you need in one place, no stress. And on top of that, the vibe is great, with truly amazing people.
