Cefalù Italy

First time in Sicily and would love to return to Club Med! We visited in mid-September, and while the Mediterranean heat was still quite intense, the resort’s layout and air-conditioned spaces offered plenty of relief. Our bedroom was lovely, and the entire resort was kept spotlessly clean.
As a Blue Badge holder, navigating a cliffside resort could have been daunting, but the team were incredibly accommodating. They made sure buggy transport was always readily available to help get around the beautifully landscaped grounds.
I took part in the yoga every day while we were there. They offer a full program, and the instructors, Sarah and Fabio, were absolutely excellent. We also went out on the water, and I would highly recommend the sunset paddle out in the kayaks (just make sure to book this in advance!). The whole watersports team were excellent - very helpful and friendly.
The dining was another highlight. The variety and quality of food on offer in the main restaurant was excellent. I also highly recommend going down to the Beach restaurant for lunch; there is no need to book, and it's a fantastic spot.
Overall, a fantastic mix of spectacular scenery, brilliant activities, and genuinely helpful service. We didn't want to leave! Highly recommended if you want a luxurious, stress-free base on the northern coast.

Everything was fantastic, and I highly recommend booking a reflexology appointment with Alex at the lovely spa. My husband and I have been to several club meds and this one is by far the best: excellent tennis instructors, delicious food, friendly staff, daily walks/hikes, and of course the beach (heavenly). My husband participated in various fitness classes and thought they were also high quality. The village manager, Luca is warm, friendly, and very skilled at his job. Overall A+++ 😊

We were a family of four from the UK and complete Club Med newbies, so we weren’t quite sure what to expect. We were also slightly apprehensive about the language barrier, given that most guests are French or Swiss. We needn’t have worried - most of the staff spoke very good English and translations were provided during shows and activities where needed.

In short, we had a brilliant week.

The resort is large and it took us a little while to get our bearings, but you soon get into the swing of Club Med life. The activity programme is extensive, with something for everyone, but what we particularly liked was that you can do as much or as little as you want. There’s no pressure at all to join in and we enjoyed just watching the Aqua Gymnastics!

The food at La Rocca was fantastic throughout. Breakfast, lunch and dinner all had some excellent daily staples alongside plenty of variety, and in the evening the restaurant is transformed and looks really beautiful. The drinks flow all day and well into the night, and the bar staff were fantastic – special mention to Thibault who was always super friendly.

The activity team work incredibly hard (we genuinely don’t know where they get their energy from) and the evening shows were great fun. They may not have huge production values, but the enthusiasm and effort that goes into them more than makes up for it. The Covo party on our final night was a spectacular way to finish the week.

There are a few areas where the resort could improve. Some parts could definitely benefit from a little investment and updating: our rooms were beginning to show their age, as are a number of the sunbeds and dining chairs. We also encountered one waiter who was consistently rather rude, although he was very much the exception – everyone else we dealt with was lovely.

Overall, probably a 4.5/5 experience, but we’ve rounded up rather than down because we had such a great time. The atmosphere, setting, food and, above all, the people made it a really memorable week.

Finally, a special thank you to Margaux, Lena and Tommaso, who were all absolutely lovely and have very bright futures ahead of them.

We will definitely be back.

The layout of the resort was stunning with beautiful views in every direction. Excellent sports facilities with helpful and thorough instruction all included. Delicious food and drink all day long. The evening entertainment is legendary and so much fun.
