Super hotel!

Arrived earlier than check-in with my daughter to celebrate her 25th birthday and we were greeted warmly at reception. We were offered a drink on arrival and really appreciated being able to access our room early. We stayed for four nights.

On the day we arrived we walked into the Old Town, which is about a 30-minute walk from the resort. There are many crossings along the way and traffic was very considerate, always stopping. One thing to note is that many of the shops open from around 3pm, although there are a few places open earlier.

The hotel itself is very clean with beautiful, well-kept grounds. We especially enjoyed the range of activities available — padel, tennis, aerial yoga, archery, aqua aerobics, and a guided one-hour walk up the mountain where drinks were waiting for us at the top. It was such a nice touch.

This was our first visit to Club Med and what really makes it special is the staff. Each team member has their own area of expertise but also joins in the evening shows. No one claims to be a professional performer, and sometimes the shows are a little cheesy — but that’s part of the charm and makes it feel genuine and fun.

All of the instructors we encountered were fantastic: patient, clear with their guidance, professional, and full of humour.

When I mentioned that my daughter is gluten- and dairy-free, the manager personally introduced us to the chef, who kindly walked her around the buffet to show what she could safely eat. That level of care was really appreciated.

The food overall was excellent. As someone who loves desserts, I was very impressed — both the taste and presentation were wonderful, with something different each day. There was also ice cream available and a wide variety of dishes across the buffet.

The resort is ideal for solo travellers, couples, and families alike. We’re already thinking about trying Club Med in another country, although Marbella has certainly set the bar very high, so it will be interesting to see how the next one compares.

Tip: Aerial yoga is not bookable via the app. Located in the room next to the gym, either arrived after the first class of the day has ended. This will allow you to put your name on the list which is left on the door.

Arturo and his team looked after me really well. The guy who teaches pilatea,the head of reception and her great Italian staff,the bar man Tanquay were all so helpful as was the nurse.The food was great .

.It was very cold for March and the fitness classes should be held indoors until April I feel.
The Marketing team in France don't promote the club med in Ireland( I havent seen an advertisement for years)or much in the UK. I read that they promote to travel agents but I don't know anyone who uses travel agents any more. most people have never heard of the Club which means the GMs were largely French .Arturo speaks good English and so do most of the GOs but more International GMS would make for a more cosmopolitan atmosphere.

We had an amazing week in Marbella, food was unbelievable. Rooms are brand new and look like in 5 stars hotels. Sports and kids activities were also amazing. It's our second time and we'll definitely come back!

Fantastic time, great facilities for all the family, staff so helpful and cant do enough. Brilliant atmostphere, lovely food and people, well done to Vincent in the teen club and Mr Arturo, we ll be back.
